My journey through rope bondage is one of exploration, creativity, and connection. Since 2017, I’ve woven together elements from a variety of practices, not tied to any one style but inspired by the work of those who have moved me. Rope, for me, is an ever-evolving dialogue—an exchange of energy, trust, and artistry that reflects the transient beauty of the scene.

My background in arts and culture, where I directed countless live events, taught me the value of ephemeral moments—how something brief can resonate deeply. This philosophy shapes how I approach rope today: every tie, each interaction is its own unique experience, existing solely in the present moment. It’s about using rope as a vehicle to create human connection.

With a passion for blending art and technical processes, I’ve found myself constantly innovating, iterating and evolving. This same curiosity fuels my love for teaching and building community. At our rope education events, we focus on fostering shared experiences that go beyond technique—spaces where people come together, learn from each other, and leave feeling inspired and connected.

In addition to running BightBound, I also offer Private Lessons, Photoshoots, Scenes and more. Visit my website www.primalbight.com learn more.

Trouble-Cat

Hey, I’m Trouble.

I’ve been actively practicing bondage, on both sides of the rope, since 2019. I love everything about it, from its own simple intrinsic beauty to the beauty it brings out in those who play with it.

Rope bondage is a practice that engages every part of my being. It’s a creative outlet, an intellectual puzzle, a way to ground myself, and a means to connect with others. It’s about the audacity to try something new, to explore the edges of what is possible, and to create something truly unique.

Early in my rope journey, I was lucky enough to visit TheSpace2 in Vancouver and Anatomie Studio in London. These spaces, filled with community, creativity, and exploration, inspired me to seek and, ultimately, cultivate something similar in my own city. Since 2021 I have been actively involved as a leader within the Austin rope scene, starting with Austin Rope Slingers and now through Bightbound, working to nurture a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive rope community. It’s been a true delight to share in other peoples’ rope journeys even as I continue on my own, and I look forward to continuing this adventure, wherever it may lead.
