Beyond Bottoming
It’s one thing to be tied, but another thing entirely to be a part of the tie. A lot of education for bottoming revolves around safety but, while that is important, there is so much more to it than that! How do you go from being tied on to creating a collaborative experience with a top?
Join Trouble-Cat and Slutty_Negroni for this bottoming-201 class, where we go beyond the usual safety and patience rhetoric and dive into how you, as a bottom, can become an active participant in your rope scenes. Bottoms will be encouraged to lead experiences, while tops focus on listening to and supporting their partners’ experiences. All attendees, regardless of role, will work on improving their self awareness and mind-body connection, building verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and increasing their agency and confidence.
Pre-requisites: This is a partnered rope bondage class with a focus on bottoming. Bottoms should already have an understanding of risk management and rope safety, and must bring a top to work with during tying exercises, preferably someone they’ve worked with before. Tops must be able to tie a single column without thinking and be comfortable with one-rope flow/ichinawa-style exercises.
