This session is a guided study group on the infamous Box Tie. Box Ties, or Takate Kote (TK) Gotes, are one of the most recognizable chest harnesses in traditional Shibari: arms tied behind the back with parallel forearms, usually with two bands going around the upper arms/chest. They are also among the most dangerous harnesses to tie, posing high risk to the nerves in the upper arm.

A study group, as opposed to a class, is a facilitated discussion session on a particular topic. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, share their own knowledge, and guide the session in whatever direction feels most valuable to them. The instructors will not be teaching a specific pattern, but will instead help provide talking points and guide the conversation as needed.

This session is open to solo or partnered tops and bottoms of any skill level. Whether you're just learning your first box ties or have been tying and flying in them for years, we look forward to what you have to offer.
