Suspension Studies

Advanced Suspension, Rotating Topics

This advanced rope bondage class is a focused study session for experienced riggers and bottoms who want to deepen their understanding of suspension structures, shapes, and play.

Rather than teaching a fixed pattern, we'll work through one to two suspensions collaboratively, adapting the material in real time based on who is in the room and the skill sets people bring. The emphasis will be on how suspension shapes are built, how they change as weight shifts, and how to move between shapes with intention and control.

This class is ideal for people who are already comfortable with suspension fundamentals and are looking to refine their decision-making, efficiency, and ability to improvise in the air.

The content of this class is tailored to the attendees. If you have any specific requests -- whether that be something new you want to learn, something you're actively working on, or something you're struggling with -- please let us know by contacting us at info@bightbound.com

Prerequisites: This class is designed for couples with prior experience with partial and full suspensions. Tops must be comfortable with uplines, familiar with the fundamentals of building suspendable harnesses, and have performed at least a few static full suspensions. Bottoms must have bottomed in at least a few static suspensions, and have enough experience in rope to be familiar with how their body reacts in more stressful ties and be comfortable communicating about any issues both in and out of rope.

**This should not be your first suspension class!**

Tops should bring a full suspension kit and rigging for a single point off our 8' ceiling.
